This June\, the distinguished Ugbolokposo Community will conclude their dedicated three-month service to the Crown and officially pass the baton to the incoming Ibobi Community. \nThis seamless transition of duty continues to highlight the unity\, deep-rooted culture\, and unwavering loyalty of the Iwere people to the throne. To celebrate this milestone\, the Palace has outlined a three-day itinerary of royal and cultural activities. \nSchedule of Events\n\n\nUgwa-Olu (Royal Visit) \n\n\nDate: Thursday\, June 25\, 2026 \n\n\nVenue: Ugbolokposo Community \n\n\nDetails: Activities will officially commence with the Ugwa-Olu. His Majesty\, Ògíamẹ̀ Atúwàtse III\, CFR\, The Olu of Warri\, will pay a historic visit to the Ugbolokposo community. The King will walk upon their soil to offer royal blessings\, praying for the land’s prosperity as a mark of appreciation for their successful Palace Watch. \n\n\n\n\nAghofen Drama Troupe Presentation \n\n\nDate: Friday\, June 26\, 2026 \n\n\nVenue: Palace of the Olu of Warri (Aghofen) \n\n\nDetails: As anticipation builds for the main event\, the eve of the handover will feature a captivating stage performance by the Aghofen Drama Troupe. Guests and dignitaries will be treated to a theatrical masterpiece that brings the history\, struggles\, and triumphs of the Warri Kingdom to life through rhythm\, voice\, and spirit. \n\n\n\n\nThe 18th Ghigho Aghofen Handover Ceremony \n\n\nDate: Saturday\, June 27\, 2026 (Main Event) \n\n\nVenue: Palace of the Olu of Warri (Aghofen) \n\n\nDetails: The grand finale will take center stage at the Palace. The Ugbolokposo community will formally hand over the prestigious Palace Watch duties to the Ibobi community.
