16th edition of Ghigho Aghofen as Orere-Uluba hands over to Olobe community

The spotlight this Saturday will be on the Olobe Community, who will formally take over the prestigious duty of watching over the Palace. They succeed the Orere-Uluba Community, who have successfully completed their tenure.

The handover ceremony is renowned for its vibrant display of Itsekiri heritage, featuring traditional drumming, dance, and dramatic displays of loyalty to the crown. Both the outgoing and incoming communities are expected to showcase their unique cultural masquerades and dance troupes in a colourful procession.
